Whoa. That's a wholly different "pre" than any I've ever seen
before, I've only seen scriptlets for before/after * install/remove
of the binary package on the live system; that sounds like "before
the package build script is run" (configure+make+make DESTDIR=...
install). I've never seen such.
I'm so glad fcron hasn't landed on the list of things I'm interested
in, that's wholly nasty.
